Scott is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Addictions Specialist specializing in individual, couples, and family counseling. He schedules in person appointments at his Longmont office for Tuesdays, and Telehealth appointments for Mondays and Wednesdays.

The past thirty years Scott has successfully treated a variety of psychological and emotional issues while working as a private practitioner, pastoral counselor, and in community mental health. Among his areas of expertise are treatment of addictive behaviors, anger, anxiety, depression, add/adhd, and relationship challenges.

In addition to being a prominent relationship therapist, Scott has presented at workshops speaking to audiences on the topics of addiction and recovery, codependency, and depression and anxiety.

Scott is an interactive, cognitive-behavioral therapist. He also has training using emotionally focused therapy to successfully treat relationship challenges. His therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. He integrates complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, he works with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.

Scott received his undergraduate degree in music education from the University of Nebraska in 1976. Following a successful career in the music industry and managing a small business, he returned to college and completed a Master of Arts degree in Marriage, Family, and Child Counseling from Trinity College of Graduate Studies.

He has been married for thirty-four years to Joanne. They have three adult children - Rachel, Hannah, and Aaron.
